ESDA Consortium 3 to be held on16-18/October, Cape Town

ESDA Consortium will meet in Cape Town, South Africa, from 16 – 18 October 2017.  This will be its third meeting, and the ESDA/MMR team at the University of Cape Town will be the host this time. The purpose of the meeting will be two-fold: (1) to review the progress of work in its three program components – the three ESDA Master’s Programs, the Next Generation Team Project and the African Youth Entrepreneurship Initiative, and (2) to initiate consideration of long-term perspectives for ESDA. This will be the first Consortium to be presided by ESDA Chair, Vice chancellor Peter M. Mbithi of the University of Nairobi, since his assumption of the Chair on 28 August 2016. It will also be the first Consortium to be attended by some of its Members and their Alternates, since there have been membership composition changes in Partner Universities (Please refer to the table below). The Consortium Program will include a joint steering committee session with the African Development Bank for reviewing the progress of AfDB-funded activities of ESDA as well as the state of the mutual cooperation.
